3GMiami: Descendants of Holocaust Survivors
A program of the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, 3GMiami brings the voices of the third generation – grandchildren of Holocaust survivors – into classrooms across South Florida. By sharing their grandparents’ personal stories of survival, 3GMiami volunteers help students in grades 5-12 connect the history of the Holocaust to the world they live in today. Their message encourages young people to be upstanders in the face of hatred, bigotry, and antisemitism. In a time of rising intolerance, 3GMiami strives to make a lasting impact in Miami and beyond. Since its founding in 2021, the program has reached more than 18,000 students through the work of 60 dedicated speakers.
Training is offered in partnership with Living Links and equips participants to present with accuracy and purpose. If you are a descendant of a Holocaust survivor and would like to join the effort, please contact Laura Adarve at ladarve@gmjf.org.
